Friday, 11/6/09 Tonight's guests: Heather Locklear, Dr. Drew Pinsky, and comedian Rodman.
Sorry about the lack of/sporadic Eastern show posts. I'm in the middle of moving and changing internet caca --I try to get these up when I can. |

[Nov. 11th, 2009|06:39 pm] |
I'm letting myself post to give my brain a rest. After a day of yearbooking, there's still a bunch more to do. How much? So much that I don't even have time to be upset that I have to miss Glee tonight.
I'm banking on the magical yearbook fairies to bring me caffeine and a way to stop time. Optimism will keep me sane (and possibly make me sound insane).
It's shower time, and then back to work...

| nbc ratings |
[Nov. 11th, 2009|03:13 pm] |
i've been hearing about this for a while now. jay leno isn't doing well in the ratings, which consequently affects local news affiliates as well as the tonight show and late night with jimmy fallon. and local affiliates as well as nbc producers are mad b/c (as we all know) he's stealing all the drama time slots. well, nbc may fire jay (which will cause them millions since leno have the contract) or , get this, critics are saying that nbc may fire conan and bring jay back to the tonight show, which i think is unfair. here's a short article on this sorry for posting this news here, but i'm just mad for conan now. if they really do that, and the article highlights this, viewers will certainly abandon nbc. |

Hey guys!
Just a random question popped my mind:
I just saw the 100th show (YAY!) and the second guest had a adorable dog with him, Numb was his name or somethin'... Anyway! I wanted to know if anyone knows what is Conan O'Brien's dog's name? ( yes I'm this nerd x3 )
This article says there's one. It's a quite adventure!
So y'all crazy stalkers fans could answer me! Or I'll ask Bley... his so cool.
Many thanks advance!! p.s. Hudson was great with him <3

| Conan Remotes |
[Nov. 10th, 2009|06:24 pm] |
I'm on the prowl for good remote segments that have aired in the past three or four months that are not on the official site. Any you could point me too? Is there a section on the NBC site that has only the remote videos like the Late Night site had? I don't see one, but my internet skills are laughable so I never know.
Thanks. :) |

| | Seventeen by Jimmy Eat World | ] | Five Things To Make You Go Hmmm.- How To Use An Apostrophe: Finally a place to direct people to before I unfriend them on Facebook!
- Justice Is Served!: Two women who stole a gift card from a nine year old girl are sentenced to standing outside the courthouse holding signs that say "I STOLE FROM A 9 YEAR OLD ON HER BIRTHDAY" instead of jailtime. Which would you rather have - a red face or the possibility of some lockdown fingerbanging? If you chose the latter, high fives!
- Seven Great Occupations For Idiots: I agree with this article.
- Total Badass: A fugitive burglar on the run in Australia wasn't happy with the mugshot a newspaper posted of him, so he sent in a replacement for them...of his standing in front of a police van. I'm surprised you can see his face at all behind those behemoth balls of his.
- Sex In Christ: If you're trying to persuade someone of faith that anal, oral and threesomes are all just beautiful gifts from God for us, this website will help back you up. Seriously, if you've never had anal sex with a Christian you are seriously missing out. They say the darnedest things! Be careful if you're dealing with a female though because there's a good chance, if she asks you do anything for her or help her out, that she's a witch!

O'Brien's Court skit. This was before my time!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDxP6LykbYk
Been meaning to ask this: Was there a definite period where Conan had on a little more weight? Anyone know enough to elaborate?
ETA: Random life moment. Today outside of church, I saw a Ford Taurus. Forest green. Not sure if it was a '92, though; I know nothing about cars. It made me giggle! |

| Scrubs Returns December 1st |

| [ | mood |
| | curious | ] | In case you were wondering....
The retooled version of ABC's "Scrubs" will be back making rounds come December, according to the Scrubs Writers Twitter feed:
"Tuesday December 1st: the premiere date for #scrubs9 Tell your friends!"
"Did we say Scrubs is returning on ABC Tuesday December 1st? Cause it is."
The "Scrubs" of the past is no more. Gone are the days focused on Sacred Heart hospital. The revamped version of the popular series is focusing now on a medical school setting. The only original stars returning as regulars are Donald Faison (Turk) and John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox).
They will be joined by newcomers Eliza Coupe, Michael Mosley, Kerry Bishe and Dave Franco. Zach Braff (JD Dorian) is also scheduled to appear in several episodes.
The two-part, one-0hour premiere will air beginning at 9 p.m. ET on Dec. 1. Once "Better Off Ted" returns the following week on Dec. 8, "Scrubs" will occupy only the 9-9:30 time slot.

So fairly soon. Not sure how I feel about the new Scrubs, but if you're curious in less than a month till you can try it out...

| | Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) by Florence & The Machine | ] | Musings Of A Man On "Vacation" - Departures Lounge.- Flying internationally is always a pain because having to go through security is so cumbersome. Security and customs in the UK is so much better than in the US though because I always feel like the American airport workers are just waiting for something, anything, to give them a reason to snap those rubber gloves on and lock the place down. British workers seem just as annoyed about having to work as everyone else and therefore make it quick and easy. It's a stereotypical thing to say but wow American security enforcement, try being a little less drunk on power please.
- The people at San Francisco airport waiting for a flight to Amsterdam win the People I'm Least Likely To Leave My Kids With award. It's all stinky stubble, suspicious sleeves and sleaze personified.
- If you're on a nine hour flight with a child just over the age of three and a child just under the age of one, do not expect to enjoy any of the in-flight entertainment. Even when the kids are sleeping, your body refuses to move an inch from the fear of waking one of them. Make sure you have an iPod with you. It will be your only hope.
- It's not until I fly that I remember that people drink tomato juice. In fact, a lot of people apparently drink tomato juice. I've never come across one of these people in everyday life, but I'm always surrounded by these weirdos when I'm on an airplane. Also, there's original and spicy tomato juice? What the fuck is wrong with people?!
- I apparently sound like an American now :/ FML.
- I'm doing my best to consume as much stuff that can't be found in America during my two weeks here in England, which means I've had lots of Zinger Tower Burgers, Fruit Gums, Quavers, Double Deckers, Apple/Orange Tango, McCoy crisps and Crunch Corners. Every party of my body enjoys this plan...except for my now-irregular bowels :/ FML FOR REALS.
- Finally, I will never take my high-speed internet connection at home for granted again. I'm having to "borrow" my parents' wireless and it takes a minute or two just to change pages. My plans to download all of the shows I've been missing (yes, I know the Kitten Mittens episode just happened :( ) have been buggered by BT. FML FOR EVERRRRRR.
